How to start a personal relationship with Christ
Jesus said," I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:9
The central
theme of the Bible is that we can know for certain when death comes, we will live in the presence of God in heaven. How can
we know for sure we will go to heaven?
- It is as simple
as 1,2,3:
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye
may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13)
- Admitting You are a sinner:
"For all have sinned and come
short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
- Believing Christ Died
for your sins:
"For when we were yet
without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly." (Romans 5:6)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
- Confession or receiving Him into your life by faith and trusting
Him as Savior:
That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved." (Romans 10:9)
"Lord
Jesus, I know I am a sinner. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. I now invite you into my life as my personal Savior.
Please make me what you want me to be. Amen."
